Evening Serenade

We were serenaded this evening by 15 teenage boys! Josiah's birthday was yesterday, the one in the green and white, so his birthday party is tonight/tomorrow, so they decided to come serenade us. They started with Happy Anniversary, then by the time I got my camera, they went in to Amazing Grace. I was actually sittin at my computer and could hear them whispering outside the window...so I went to the front door, whipped on the light and opened the door and they about had a heart attack!

UpperCase Living

OK - so here's my new hobby. It's called UpperCase Living. You'll have to check out the website! http://www.uppercaseliving.com/ Here are the things I've put up so far. I have two left, but I need to paint the laundry room first and find a shelf for the hallway before I know where to put the others. So you'll have to wait...
This is in my kitchen...Winona...do you recognize that plant? You bought it for us almost 14 years ago (next month) when we got married!! It was just a baby then.

OK - funny story - when I was getting ready to put this up, I had to climb up on this tall ladder (shocking that I wasn't tall enough to reach it myself, I know) so I had the boys hold the bottom of the ladder...so after a bit Price says "who's coming over", I was like "what?!" and he kept asking, then I realized that he read it and thought I was putting it up for someone in particular that was coming over...so I had to 'splain that one to him :) It was precious. Then they got tired of holding the ladder cause their show was on and kept asking "are you almost done?!" so I told them to just go and if I fall...go get the neighbors!!!

Still in the kitchen...obviously...
Yet again in the kitchen...by the table. Now I turned this picture...why is it not turned here??? grrr...well tilt your head. This one is in our bedroom...precious, isn't it? ;)
Just another angle because I kept getting a glare...odd how the wall color looks totally different.
Anywho...this is it...for now. I should have lowered that "Always"...too late now!

OK - here is the lastest one I put up.Now I just need to finish putting up all the family pictures! So if you want to be on the wall...send in those pictures!!

First Day of School

Bobby and the boys are back to school!! Price is starting the 3rd grade, Zeke is starting the 2nd grade, and Bobby is in the 11th grade...again!! Naaahhh...he's just the Junior Class sponsor...which we all know means that I am the Junior Class sponsor too :)

They just can't stand to take a picture without doing something like this...
Big Daddy and the boys :)
I finally had to tell Price to keep his eyes open when he's smiling for a picture :) He just like to cheese it up!!
OK - while I was waiting for these pictures to upload I went to the pictures from last year...I'm amazed at how much they've grown and changed so just look at the bottom two pictures from last year!! Just look at where they are in comparison to the light post outside, or the light switch on the wall in the kitchen. Amazing.

CHEER CAMP!!

CHURCH CAMP

This was the boys' first year to go to church camp. At first they didn't want to go...because there wouldn't be any X-box! Needless to say, we made the decision that they were going :) We went down to get them on Friday night, and wouldn't you know...they had a BLAST!!! But boy was it hot...and sticky!!!

Here are the kids singing on Sunday night. They sang songs that they had sung during the week and some kids gave testimonies, it was precious!!!

UPWARD BASKETBALL CAMP

This week Bobby ran our first Upward Basketball Camp. We had 32 kids initially register, and we knew we would have additional kids come on the first day so we had to guess how many would show up. So we ordered 40 kits!! Monday came, registration started, and 39 kids showed up!!! What a blessing!! It was a great week, the kids learned about basketball and that Jesus loves them.

Upward Mission Statement: Introduce children to Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve through sports.

Here a just a few pics from camp:

He just couldn't help himself...

4th of July 2008

Well here are our 4th pictures...finally :) We made the trip to Springfield and had the best 4th yet!! Although we missed you Nathan! Here are some of the crazy pictures that we took.
Our Annual Family Fourth Picture!
Price and Christian are ready to take on the girls!

Ambrose and Zeke hamming it up! Here are all the grandkids that were present. It's amazing how much they grow every year!
Tina decided that we're going to have a "Crazy Hat Contest" every year...can I just say that her hat it a food cover with a horn stuck in it :) A for effort T-T!!! Everyone looked great! Maybe next year my family will actually participate.
Doesn't Christian just look so happy to recieve his snow cone!! This is my annual treat for the kid-o's. Normally it's 175 degrees in Springfield on the Fourth, however, this year was rather cool, so the ice wasn't melting as soon as it came out of the machine :)

Finally enjoying the fireworks!

Perfect timing!!! I have this same picture of the boys each year. Zeke's didn't turn out so great, but this one was awesome!
Finally figuring out the setting on my new camera. I loved these fireworks, they went off like a ton of sparklers.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
