Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas! God has been so good to our family. Not because of the "things" we have, but because he loved us enough to send His only Son to die for us. It's because of Him, we celebrate! We can never out-give Him!

Chargers @ Conseco Field House

Tuesday, December 23rd the Chargers played after the Pacer game. The weather was atrocious! Ice, ice, and more ice. The bus wouldn't start, and if it did...I don't think they would have gotten it out of the parking spot! So regardless we all carpooled and made our way downtown. The Pacer game was good, but the Chargers were better :) The kids love going down below where all the "important" people get to go. The night ended in a win for the Chargers bringing our record to 9-0!!

2008 HOOSIER HOLIDAY CLASSIC CHAMPS!

Congratulations to the Chargers for their 3rd win in the HHC! This year was extra special because we hosted a team from Sydney, Australia. They only spent four days with us and by the time the left we were all crying because we were going to miss them so much! It's amazing how attached you can get to perfect strangers in just four days. We will never forget them.

Thanksgiving 2008

We spent the Thanksgiving break in Springfield this year. Here is a bit of what we did. This picture was taken at Uncle Dave's house, this is where we always eat Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. What you can't see behind us is Fellows Lake.
Hanging out with the fam
Here is the newest addition to the Brown Clan. Ella Victoria. She is precious.

It was such beautiful weather that the boys all went and played golf after we ate (the first time), so here is Bobby after a shower, enjoying some coffee and watching some football. Good times.
SHOPPING!!!
OK - what you don't see in this picture, is that the time is 4:55 a.m.!!! Oh yeah, we were up before the crack of dawn ready to hit the stores!
Here's the gang at Wally-World, the sun finally came up!
Here's me and Em enjoying the massage chair...I was trying to explain to Tina how to work the camera..hence the odd look on my face :) You should have seen her in this chair!

Just being weird...
Being weird in Target. We ran in to half of the other family so we got a picture :) Poor Caden, he was so out numbered...but he's still cute as a button! So, do you think they had about as much fun as they possibly could?? This was on the way home on Saturday after spending the night at Chuck and Whitney's house for the new tradition "Kick Off to Christmas" They had all of the grandkids over. I can only imagine that this is how they spent the day too!

CHARGER NIGHT 2008

Friday night was out annual Charger Night and Chili Supper. We have had our chili supper for about 12 years now, at least. It is always a great fundraiser for the cheerleaders. It was a great day for the kids, they started the day off with a pep rally at 8:00 a.m. a little early for screaming and yelling, but that's how we do it. Our supper started at 5:00, games started at 5:30 and we didn't get home until about 11:00!! Talk about a looooong day!!

PEP RALLY
CHILI SUPPER
Not exactly sure how Abby seems to get in every picture :) She's the red-head...but she should be a blonde! :) But she is presch.
Workin' hard...
Practicing in the old gym before our game...
Shoulder sits, yeah baby, taking everything back old school. For those of you alumni cheerleaders that see this...we brought back the "C" and a few oldie but goodie cheers. We actually have four shoulder sits, but i couldn't back up any further!Bobby was giving a "short" speech right before we unveiled the new State Championship banner!!
Here they are doing my favorite cheer...it has blades! :) But why we have a few girls doing something different is beyond me...but that's what Charger Night is for...to work out the kinks.

Upward Cheer Clinic

This past Saturday Jenn and I took the girls to a church in town and helped them with their cheer clinic. There were about 60 little girls, and they just thought our squad was the best thing they've ever seen. They were so precious!! Our girls did a great job and were so good with the little ones. Towards the end the two seniors were giving their testimony and they were leading into a salvation message. They started out with being best friends, then they talked about parents, then Lauryn asked "Who loves us more than our parents?" And of course the girls were raising their hands, not even know what the question was or what they were going to say if called on, but finally she got to one little girl and her answer was "God, Jesus....and Joseph." It was the cutest thing ever. I laughed the rest of the day on that one...precious...

Teaching basics.
Group Photo!
Gettin' Crazy!
Here they are during snack time...they couldn't get close enough!

We had a little stunting time with the little ones, hysterical!

After the clinic we went to Jenns to work on the girls' binders. So much info...
